FIELDS OF USE:
An integral part of every dishwashing machine is an ion exchanger which traps the calcium and magnesium ions which cause hard water and feeds soft water into the machine. This is intended to prevent the development of limescale on glasses and cutlery. If the ion exchanger becomes saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, its absorptivity must be restored by means of regeneration.
For this purpose, we use regenerating salt, which causes the exchange of the hardness ions and
thus ensures optimal rinsing results.
APPLICATION / DOSAGE:
As soon as the dishwasher’s ‘salt needed’ light turns on, fill the designated salt compartment with regenerating salt according to the machine manufacturer's instructions for use.
Experience shows that there are some machines which are very late in indicating their need for salt. To prevent this, the regenerating salt compartment should be regularly refilled even if the display does not yet indicate that it is required. If the salt compartment is completely empty, you should wait around 2 hours after refilling before switching the machine on again, to give the ion exchanger sufficient time to regenerate itself.
Correct setting of the ion exchanger
The water softener (ion exchanger) of the dishwashing machine should be set one level higher than indicated for the hardness of your water. Example: If your water is hardness level II (8° - 14° dH / 125-240 mg CaCO3/l), then you should put your machine in the setting corresponding to hardness level III (15° – 21° dH / 240-370 mg CaCO3/l). Instructions for doing this can be found in the operating instructions of your dishwasher, in the “water softener” section.

PRODUCT DECLARATION:
Pure coarse-grained evaporated salt 100 %
List of ingredients according to EC 648/2004: Sodium Chloride
Detailed Information is published under:
http://www.haut.de/service/inci/en
ORIGIN AND PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS:
In rocksalt deposits, the
SALT is broken up, dissolved in water and crystallized into coarse grains. In this way, all impurities are removed. As a concentrated solution in the salt compartment of the dishwasher, it exchanges the bonded calcium and magnesium ions for the sodium ions of the regenerating salt so that the ion exchanger can once again supply soft water.
SPECIAL PRODUCT FEATURE:
The regenerating salt is a pure crystallized evaporated salt, without the addition of any anticaking agents, synthetic colorants, denaturants or other ingredients.
TECHNICAL DATA:
Sodium chloride reacts pH-neutrally in an aqueous solution.
ECOLOGY:
BIODEGRADABILITY:
Common salt (sodium chloride) is a natural constituent of our water sources. Common salt is a mineral by nature and does not need to be further degraded, but it can contribute – albeit to a relatively minor extent – to an increase in the salt load of our water. For medium-hard water, approx. 40 - 50 g of salt is emitted in the waste water every rinse cycle.
