ORIGIN AND PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS:

SOAP, SUGAR SURFACTANT
and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE work together in a mutually complementary and intensifying way in this liquid detergent. For the SOAP, vegetable oils, partially from controlled organic cultivation, are saponified in a special saponification procedure with the aid of potassium hydroxide and without external heat input. SOAP as an active washing substance uniquely embodies all of the properties required for the washing process – moistening, loosening and absorbing dirt. In this effect, the SOAP is intensified by the SUGAR SURFACTANT and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE which are derived from purely plant-based raw materials - sugar, starch and coconut oil - by chemical conversions with the aid of acids. At the same time, this combination eliminates the disadvantage of SOAP, namely the formation of calcium soap, which can be deposited on the laundry if the softener dosage is not accurate. The ALCOHOL, which is derived from the fermentation of vegetable starch, helps to keep the detergent liquid and thus permits a high concentration of the active washing substance. SULPHATED CASTOR OIL, also called Turkey Red Oil, is obtained by reaction of the oil with sulphuric acid. It increases the grease loosening power of the washing liquid.

SPECIAL PRODUCT FEATURES:

The special energy-saving method of saponification, the use of oils and essential oils from certified organic cultivationand an extremely favourable price/washing performance ratio for a liquid detergent are the outstanding features of this product.

TECHNICAL DATA:
Density: (20°C), approx. 1.02 g/cm³
pH value: (20°C) ( 5g/l H2O ) approx. 8.5 – 9.5
At temperatures below 10-15° C, the product changes and becomes somewhat thicker and cloudy, but this disappears again in warm conditions and after light shaking if necessary.

ECOLOGY:
BIODEGRADABILITY:
SOAP made from vegetable oils has the special feature compared to all other active washing substances, namely that it combines immediately after use with the calcium always present in the waste water to form calcium soap and thus neutralizes itself in its surfactant effect on aquatic organisms (PRIMARY DEGRADATION). The calcium soap is then rapidly 100% degraded by microorganisms to carbon dioxide and water (SECONDARY DEGRADATION).
In the manufacturing process of SUGAR SURFACTANTS, COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE and SULPHATED CASTOR OIL constituents are taken from the plant-based raw materials starch, sugar and fat; however, they completely retain their natural structure. It is therefore relatively easy for microorganisms to 100% decompose these surfactants.
SOAP, SUGAR SURFACTANTS and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE SULPHATED CASTOR OIL are considered by the OECD to be slightly biodegradable.
